DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — The United Arab Emirates on Sunday published the main picture for its Mars test presently circumnavigating the red.
The image, taken Wednesday, shows daylight simply going over the outside of Mars. It shows Mars’ north pole, just as Mars’ biggest spring of gushing lava, Olympus Mons.
The picture comes from its “Amal,” or “Hope,” space test.
The test swung into space around Mars on Tuesday in a victory for the Arab world’s first interplanetary mission.
