Oil Can Harry’s in Studio City has shut its entryways following 52 years.

On January 4, 2020, proprietors affirmed the news in a message posted on the bar’s site saying, “Glad New Year to all! 2021 has not carried extraordinary news to OIL CAN HARRY’S: The property sold in December, because of Monty and Jon simply expecting to close down another foundation. It was bought on December ninth by another purchaser, who needs to have their own setting with jazz music.”

The proprietors proceeded, “Along these lines, as of now I need to abandon the property–nothing terrible or revolting, simply something I need to do. I contended energetically to keep it, yet needed to surrender… Not certain where it will lead not far off. Much obliged to you for this lovely blessing that we shared for a very long time.”

On November 5, 2020, a message on the bar’s Facebook page said the bar would resume when they were permitted during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The solitary explanation Oil Can Harry’s is shut right now is carefully because of COVID-19 and will re-open when permitted,” read a message on their authority Facebook page. “The Sole Owner of ONLY the property at 11502 Ventura Blvd., Studio, City, CA 91604 has put the property available to be purchased. Jokester Fortune Feimster took to Twitter following the news saying, “Goodness man, just discovered Oil Can Harry’s in LA is currently shut for good. Following 52 years. They needed to sell the property. I had such countless affectionate recollections there and it was one of the primary spots I made companions in LA. So freeloaded to see it go.”

Oil Can Harry’s has been highlighted in films like “Glad Texas” and hosts facilitated gatherings for superstars like Lady Gaga.

It was not quickly clear if or when the scene will go through the referenced changes.
