Climate activists on Wednesday impeded streets prompting Germany’s three greatest airports, sticking themselves to the ground before police arrived.

Members from the group Uprising of the Last Generation said they needed to upset freight and traveler traffic at the airports in Frankfurt, Munich and Berlin.

The group has requested that the public authority should go to lengths to end food squander. It contends that discarding huge measures of usable food adds to appetite and climate change.

Past protests including the blocking of streets and ports have drawn analysis from authorities across the political range.

The blockades are suggestive of the fights last year by the climate activity group Insulate Britain, which blocked numerous principle parkways and streets in the U.K.
