A magnitude-4.3 earthquake shook the Salton Sea region on Friday night however no harm or injuries were accounted for.
The tremor struck at 9:39 p.m. a couple of miles from the town of Niland in Imperial County close to the Salton Sea, as indicated by information from the U.S. Land Survey.
The tremor was gone before and followed by a progression of earthquakes of 3.0 or higher, including a magnitude-4.1 shudder that happened around 10 minutes after the bigger shake.
The earthquakes happened in a similar area where a magnitude-5.3 shudder hit on Saturday.
