A size 2.7 earthquake hit in Carson Thursday evening and was felt across the South Bay, as indicated by the U.S. Geological Survey.

The shake had a focal point across the road from Carson Park, a couple of squares from where the 4.3 greatness earthquake that shook the region last week was epicentered. Thursday’s tremor struck about 7:58 p.m. at a profundity of almost 3 miles, USGS said.
